Curriculum Snapshots
The Curriculum Snapshots website provides examples of best practices to share with your teachers.

Review all the instructions before completing the activity.  You may wish to open the web link in another window (right-click on the link and choose Open in New Window) so you can refer back to this activity page as you work.

Visit the Curriculum Snapshots website:  http://www.ael.org/snapshot/index.htm

Read about the Snapshots program.

Find the Search link to search the Snapshots database.  Find at least 3 snapshots that you would like to share with your teachers.

Open a new Word document.  Type "Curriculum Snapshots" as a title.  Press Enter several times.  Type a short title for the first snapshot you plan to use.  Then copy and paste the URL of the snapshot into your Word document.  Finally, write a short description of the snapshot including grade, curriculum area, and a brief summary.  (5-10 sentences)

Do the same for two more snapshots.

Add a header to your Word document with your name.  Save your Word document as "Snapshots."  Print if possible.

Extended Activity:  To practice your multi-tasking skills, copy and paste one of the photos from the snapshots website into your Word document.

With Curriculum Snapshots, you can virtually visit other classrooms to see what they are doing with technology.
