Assessment
Assessing the use of technology in classrooms can be difficult.  It requires more than just a one visit observation.  Instead, the principal needs to browse classrooms and labs with technology integration in mind and look for examples.  Are computers in use?  Do the students using the computer seem engaged in productive work?  How is the computer area or lab organized?  All these questions and more lead to a better picture of technology use.

What software is being used, how well is it matched to the school's curriculum objects, how well is it matched to needs and learning characteristics of the students, and what role is the teacher playing before, during, and after its use?
