Shared Borders

Once you have organized your pages in Navigation View, you can add Shared Borders. Remember, anything included in a shared border will appear on every page unless you turn it off.

Return to Page View by choosing it in the Views toolbar or by double clicking on the page you wish to edit.  When the page appears, right click and choose Shared Borders.  You can apply to border to all pages or the current page only.  The top and left borders can include navigation bars; the right and bottom borders are for comments or information (like copyright and email) that you want to appear on every page.

The pages in my web have a top and bottom shared border.  The top border includes a page banner which I inserted (Insert/Page Banner).  Every theme has a page banner graphic associated with it.  If you don't use a theme you can include your own graphic for your border or just choose text.  To edit the page banner, right click on it and choose Page Banner Properties.

Note:  You can include a page banner on a page without putting it in a Shared Border.  It will only appear on the page in which you inserted it.
